Web users urged to tackle malware proactively
Computer and internet users have been urged to be more proactive in their actions against malware. According to Thomas Burns, founder of Intelligent Network Services, internet users can take a number of steps to reduce their vulnerability to malware exploitation, including ensuring the computer operating system receives regular updates – also known as patches. ”Malware’ is a broad term that includes a number of tactics used to do harm to a computer. It includes computer viruses, worms, spyware, Trojan horses and dishonest ads, etcetera,’ said Mr Burns.
