A Spyware Horror Study
This story may sound common, but it wasn’t for me. I was inexperienced fighting malware and Trojans, so I had to follow my basic instincts. Yesterday I was searching through some simple and safe-looking Web sites. I had heard from my friend about the Windows Black XP edition and was told it was easy to download over the Net. I went trotting around search engines and following anything that seemed sensible and closest to my search criteria. I came across a forum that had an external link. I did recognize that the admin told the poster not to add links, but I didn’t think it could be malware.
